Low priced truck ?

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I'm a senior in high school and I'm about to
graduate in a few months. I plan on going
to college straight away but, I need
transportation, I work at McDonald's for
cash but right now I don't make much
because I focus more on school than work.
Is there anyone looking to negotiate on a
truck price with me and how much I would
have to pay if I don't pay a full down
payment ???

First, there's no such thing as cheap wheels, especially trucks, that hold their resale value extremely well. Why not look for a good used car, like a Honda or Toyota from 1998 or 1999 as your first vehicle. There's lots of them out there, find one in excellent condition and you'll be money ahead. Pay cash for your first car. McDonald's doesn't pay much, concentrate on college. Later, when you earn money, get whatever you want. Good luck.

There's no such thing as a full down payment, everything is negotiable. Lots of cars are sold with 110 percent financing if you have excellent credit. That covers the entire price of the car, sales tax and registration. Also, it's all about financing. If you get a car financed through a credit union, it will be your best bet, typically rates around 2 percent.

One more thing, you'll get a much better deal on a late model used car compared to anything new. In used cars, CONDITION is everything.
