Dodge Ram 1500 transmission

I need to replace the automatic
transmission in my 1998 Dodge Ram 1500
4x4 with 5.9 gas engine. Does it have the
46re transmission and will 97-99 years with
same specs fit it? Thanks

It would be a 46re. All pickups with a v8 are a 46re. Durango's with a 360 have them also. 97-99 would be a swap. They changed the electronics in them in 2000, so I don't know for sure if that would work.
