Lose power going uphill with foul odor service engine soon light starts blinking. 99
Chevy suburban 5.7 2 wheel drive 1500

A 'foul odor' in my experience could be either the catalytic converter or an overcharging battery. They are similar odors, best as I can describe as something like propane, sulfur like a paper match or 'rotten eggs'
