Any help with single mothers with car

My initial thought (without knowing too much about you or your financial situation) would be something that's reliable, roomy for the kid(s) and whatever you may want to carry, safe, and also 4WD for inclement weather: Late model used Nissan Rogue, Honda CR-V or Toyota RAV-4 come to mind. If you're not in an area where snow & ice are concerns, maybe late model used sedan (4 door) versions of Nissan Altima, Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Mazda 6?

Good info RacerX. Good to see ya. Just that one thing..a Camry is a lot more money than a Corolla and the Corolla has just as much room and 5-star crash tests. Just less power (180 vs. 130) but plenty peppy and not as well equipped than the Camry with Navigation, cameras, etc.
How's it going FordNut? Guess I went under the assumption that there may be at least 2 kids (one being an infant maybe?). But I do work with someone who is a single mom with 2 kids and drives a Corolla...and it seems to work ok for her (I know she's shopping for a RAV-4 now because she needs more cargo space). More input from the OP would be very helpful :)
There is a LOT more room inside the Corolla than one might think from looking at it. And the pre-2009 Rav4 is a Corolla Crossover, how cool is that?
