In this day and age there are very few new cars that are bad cars. If it's a used car, get the one that's in better mechanical condition. Check 'Car Gurus' for pricing to see if you're getting a good deal. Mostly though just buy what looks good to you. Sure Honda has a more solid reputation but you'll pay more for that, while Hyundai builds excellent cars also. No one is building junk these days. Do you mean the civic or the veloster.
