will a 3.0 from a 97 taurus fit into a 95 tarus

i have a 97 ford Taurus with a 3.0 looks good runs good but the frame is bad. the car i
want to buy is a 95 Taurus with a bad head gasket not sure of what motor is in it but i'm
trying to make the best out of a bad car purchase can i put the 97 engine in the 95 car?
the money seems right for it but only if i can swap the engines.
