Would a Subaru Outback or Impreza Wagon be a good first car?

I really like Subaru wagons, but I'm not sure what would be better, I like the Outback but don't need a
car that big, and I like the Impreza because it's small. My choice will mostly depend on what the price of
an Outback or Impreza is and what insurance will be. I'm only 17 so I don't want to pay a lot for
insurance.

The Subaru has a better than average rating. It would be a good first time car. Call your insurance agent for price quotes for various years and models.

Look at the Outback Sport it is a small wagon. Insurance will be similar on both most likely.
