What is the lowest a car dealership will finance?

i never bought a car, and i am trying to stay in a certain monthly price range before i start looking for one to "invest
in"

If it's an older car with high mileage, most banks will not lend on it. So if you mean you're looking to invest $2-$4,000 - try your local credit union for a personal loan and stay away from a dealer. Always get any used car inspected before you buy it. This way you know ALL the costs.
