I've heard hybrid cars are very expensive to repair/ maintain. True?

do the parts that make a car a hybrid really expensive to replace or repair- are they more expensive in general to
upkeep?

Yes, they are more complex systems than just the regular combustion engine.

Yes they are, but the trade off is tremendous. If you buy a quality hybrid from toyota, nissan(yes they do make a hybrid), honda etc, you shouldnt have many problems. I still see a lot of first gen priuses and insights on the road and those came out in 1998
