Cobalt SS with the LSD option, with the cash credit it starts ~22k right now... Bang for buck performance wise it's your best bet....

new genesis coupe is getting good reviews and a little over 300 hp. not gonna handle like a 335 thats setting the bar really high for 20k

cobalt ss and the saturn sky are cool. 08 nissan z might be fun. Mustangs can be had for close to or even under 20. for me.. i'm waiting for the Camaro. it will be quite a car.

if youre willing to spend that much get a sports luxury car. go check out the chrysler 300C SRT8 model. sexy as can be. stock 20s with low pros for improved handling. huge monster car that can comfortably seat all of your friends. upgraded sport suspension for good handling. 6.1L hemi pumping out 425 hp all while getting 21 mpg. full leather. and if you look around some come with a dvd player for the rear that folds down as part of your center console. car is sweet. you can get a low miles one for $25k easy. its the type of car that will give you all you will need for the performance side and be able to comfortably take on long road trips. p.s. for a couple thousand dollars worth of add ons you can get it pumping out 450 hp without even working hard

he said he wanted something that can hangle good on corners and that car def isnt it hate to burst your bubble and its not really worth the money in my opinon from driving one here at the dealer i work at. The finish on the interior for a 40k is horrible the only thing decent about them is the motor and even then it doesn feel like anything special cause the car is heavy.

are you looking for something the same finish as the BMW? or do you want something thats race oriented for the corners and what years? id recomend the Subaru impreza wrx sti you can pick up the 06- 07 body for around 25- 30k or the 04-05 for 18-25k The Mitsubishi lancer evoultion IX is a good choice to i dont care what anyone says about mitsubishi that car is an awesome car if maintained properly and it goes for the same prices as the STI. if your not into sedans then look at the honda s2000 they are around that price range. add a supercharger kit to that and it will be one of the best bangs for your buck. the cobalt ss isnt a very good car overall. the finish isnt even close to any of those and ive heard the ss isnt as reliable as most think the soltice ive heard is a pretty good track car im not really a fan of american cars but if you are thats a good choice for track. if you dont really care about how used it is look at toyota supras they can be around that price just will have at least 60-80k which is bothing for a toyota or honda just means its broken in lol

lol yeah 425 hp 13 sec 1/4 mile time and tire roasting torque is nothing special. and the interior is simple. some people like simple. i dont want a bunch of neon and accents all over my interior. i want something smooth and easy to look at. and the leather is nice leather too. and youre right its not an all out amazing handling car but its good. the SRT8 has a completely upgraded suspension from the regular C model. and like i said before fore just a couple thousand on top of the $20k for a good low miles one will put you easily over 450 hp. that car will run in the 12s and it gets good handling. no it doesnt get the same handling a 350z does but its still good and it makes up for it in the straight line

and in the previous post you knock the interior of the 300 but then suggest the STi???? wtf man. quit hating. you always try to knock the 300. the STi is an amazing car and i love them but that interior is jsut flat ugly. mitsu has good performance and styling but its reliability is also terrible.

here go read what edmonds review has to say about the SRT8s performance in handling, power, and interior http://www.edmunds.com/chrysler/300csrt8/2006/review.html

Toyota MRS Spyder. Insane handling but low on power. Throw in a turbo and it'll be fine.

If this is going to be kind of a first sports car, I highly recommend looking into an Honda S2000. Both AP1 and AP2 are great. This car will teach you how to drive a real sports car. It's a difficult car to drive well, so when you're done with it, you will be a very very good driver. Amazing weight distribution, one of the best transmissions and shifters around, reliable, and 240HP at 8000 RPM. You can't beat that combination. This car will reward you. Look into it! I don't suggest an AWD sports car as a learner sports car (WRX, STi, Evo), it's like having training wheels on your bike. You will have a hard time moving on to RWD cars afterwards. S2000!!!!

Thanks for the input. I really like the 3 series coupe style'n. Like the s200 and sky. They might be a little too small so but I bet they be great on turns. I'm gonna need to test them. 350z and g35s are sick too. Camaro ss is hella sick but I probably couldn't afford it. Not a fan of the 300c. Dodge challenge looks nice but didn't get good reviews for handle'n. Saw a 135i which look just like a 335 but smaller. I'm thinking 335i,sky, s2000, or a Camaro.

Look for a mazda Rx-8 manual transmission I had one. It was the best handling car i've ever been in mine was stock and I still hit a top speed of 158

i would suggest againt the sky. i have a friend with a built s2000. he has 500 hp in it. sick car. also, when considering the bmw dont forget cost of maintenance on it in comparison to the others. its a ncie car but youre also going to pay more to keep it nice too.
