Any help or advice for scam scam dealers who advertise on your site?

Question type: General

Can you report about dealers who advertise
on your site but rip off the customers? I
checked with the Alabama BBB (after my
purchase) and South side imports llc from
Birmingham,Al has an F rating. I found the
vehicle this dealer had on your website and
went to look at it this morning. Drove it
around and checked it out and it seemed fine
other than a couple small things that I
brought to the dealers attention but agreed
those small things were ok. After the
purchase and on my drive home the
engine(which did nothing like this on my test
drive) started making a loud noise and also
the vehicle started going dead when I would
stop(also didn’t do this on my test drive). I
would have quickly walked away, just as
anyone else would, if would have made any
noise close to this while I was driving it. Have
tried continually for the past 5 hours since I
have bought the car to speak to the dealer
with no response. Any help or suggestions?

Used car dealers are historically abusive; it's actually difficult to make an honest buck selling used cars and that's probably why they don't even try..... Have the dealer fix all defects and if they cant, demand a refund and don't take NO for an answer. Report them to your states Bureau Of Automotive Repair; likely in the Attorney General's office..... In the future, never buy a used car before you have it looked over by a mechanic you select; could be the best $100 you ever spent.
