Sparks from my battery

I just got my 2012 VW Passat given back to
me after it was stolen for a month I go to
drive it but it need a jump .as I'm driven it the
battery started sparking ..

Pull the battery and have it thoroughly tested, check battery posts for looseness or movement, then check all battery cables and connections. Maybe the thieves went joyriding and knocked the battery around severely enough to break an internal connection between anodes/plates. A good load test should tell you if it's any good.
