Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My ABS and brake light were on. I brought it to a local shop to have diagnostics run. They claimed the ABS valve and module needed to be replaced at a cost of $2000. I was able to buy the module and replace it myself. If I installed the new ABS Module on my 2013 Ram 1500, does it need to be programmed? My ABS light is now blinking/flashing on dash.

Installing the actual ABS pump is best left to a pro.

You have to initialize the abs module. You can buy a scanner on amazon that does abs brake bleed and initialization or pay a mechanic to initialize it.
