car wont start clicking noise at first try again no noise or wouldn't start

Today I went to start my van it was clicking and didn't start. I waited about a min and try again and the clicking noise stop and I didn't hear anything when I turn the key and still wouldn't start. I was wondering what might have cause this ????

A rapid click sound is an indication of low voltage, bad battery, poor cable connections, corroded cables, charging system inoperative after running draining the battery.
