2010 Mazda 3 sedan, Auto trans problem

In park to reverse, it clanks. Around 65, it shifts very noisily
and takes time to rebuild cruising speed.
TCM possibly, or the expensive option ???
Fluid level and quality is fine btw

Clanking is not good. How are the engine and transmission mounts? Nothing you can check internal to the transmission without having an expert look at it.
