Labor is expensive now, close to $100 an hour. What is your year, make and model vehicle? Depending on the vehicle, replacing the oil pan requires the engine to be supported and maybe the steering rack to be dropped to remove the pan past the oil pump.

It's a 2001 Dodge Dakota club cab sport 5.9 I appreciate your answer and did forget about having to clear the oil pump. After a little investigating the pricing does seem to be inline with the rather "extensive" amount work required to complete this job correctly. Again thank you for your response and time !
