Did you pull the trans dipstick to check the fluid? What color is it? Black, brown, red? Is it at the correct level in the cross hatch area of the dipstick when the car is warmed up and engine on? Do you know when the fluid was last changed? It sounds like to me, the transmission fluid was not changed regularly and it is simple burned out or black and needs a rebuild. On the Automatic Escapes you need to change the fluid every 30 to 50K miles if you want them to last to 200K.

Yeah its a little on thw brown side. The fluids are all full and to the correct levels. Gear box, engine and trans. I jst bought it less than 10k miles ago on July 4th. I jst changed the engine oil for the 2nd time a few weeks since i bought it. Sounds like it's burnt. Jst want to besure before i get a new one on the way
