1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My new Oldsmobile has a few issues that I’m trying to see if I should keep or
get rid of. First problem is a on/off switch that when flipped makes you
disconnect both cables off the batteries and reconnect them after waiting a
while. The second issue is an alarm system module under the dash. I’m trying
to see if the Goodwrench system is stock or added. I think it’s added because
I can’t find a alarm horn, my key fob doesn’t have the button, and there is no
sensor on the top of the dash. If I am correct then should I eliminate the
module? If I’m wrong then please correct me. Thank you in advance for any
help, thoughts, and opinions.

Thank you Ed I know it’s starting to seem like I should. Sadly I don’t have the option to get rid of it because my mom bought it for me saying Oldsmobile is reliable. Starting to disbelieve her heck my Dodge 2500 with a failing transmission is running better. Point being is I’m just gonna have to jimmy rig a paper clip for a OBD1 scanner, start tracing wires, and testing the head gasket which is prone to fail as well as the injectors.
