Question type: General

I have Maruti swift VXI which i purchased on 13 Dec 2014 however, registration was done on 18 Dec 014 hence, on RC the date of registration is 18 Dec 2014. I was getting the Zero Dep insurance done from Maruti insurance (National insurance Ltd) which fall under cycle 13 Dec to 12 Dec each year.  My policy is getting expired on 12 Dec 2019 and i contacted maruti insurance  Maruti refused to issue Zero dep insurance (for 13 Dec 19 to 12 Dec 20) saying that it is 6th policy and vehicle has completed 5 year. However, policy bazaar representative said that the Zero Dep policy can be issued as the date of registration is 18 Dec 2014. In your case, policy is starting from 13 Dec 2019 and car is completing 5 year on 18 Dec. They have issued Zero dep policy for my vehicle from Royal sunderam. Is there any catch there or will i get any trouble on claims. Per my understanding for Claim settlement they only want insurance copy, RC and License.
