Explorer Roof Rack

A little difficult to suggest a fix when you have failed to describe the issue.

I just purchased a virtually-unused 2018 from a Ford dealer. Quickly discovered the plastic rail issue. I have an idea. Rather than even bothering to return to dealer for something that will not be fixed correctly until Ford starts molding things in metal, I propose this... assuming that the rails are held by sheet metal screws, why not remove everything and plug the holes with either raw or blackened stainless screws with low-profile wide head and allen or torx drive slot? What do you people think?
