I'm looking for a used car for my son. I just found one myself through cargurus and I got burned so bad by the dealer advertising here that I can't bring myself to use it again. How can you control these thieves?

You must do your own due diligence. First of all I never buy from used car lots, honest ones are few and far between. New car dealers have a reputation and tend to be more selective about what they sell used. You also need to have the car checked out by a mechanic and you should always be careful about verifying what the dealer says about the car. Read all the paperwork before signing!
