Will not start

1997 Ford f   250 With A 460
engine Is started out just dying
while drivingTo the point where it
will not start now I replaced the
coilThe distributor ECM If i
unhook the negative overnight It
will start for about 30 seconds
And then it will die Back to no
spark again

    My 1998 TDI glow plug light will not come on sometimes. It will crank over, but will not start when light is not lit.. When glow plug light is on (occasionally) it starts immediately. What gives?
