Question type: Maintenance & Repair

What could cause the FRONT brakes on a 1990 F150 to lockup after sitting a
few days?  I have to spin the tires in forward & reverse to get them to release.

Old calipers ? There's nothing to retract them when you hit the brakes , they just relax . Moisture could be a problem but after only a few days they shouldn't seize up , I don't think .

Thank you for your opinion/answer. I have suspected rust on the rotors, yet the situation is so strong I think there may be something else at play.To force it out of the carport I have to rock it from forward to reverse, and really put the power to it. Then, I stomp the pudding out of the brake pedal while going down the road. It gets way better, until the next couple of weeks, when I have to do it again.
