Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

I am out of state due to a family emergency and have a buyer interested in
purchasing my vehicle. My name is on the title.

Can my husband sign over the title in my absence for me?

By law, only the person named on the title can sign. In reality, you can have your husband tell the buyer that you're in the house but can't come out. He can then go in and sign your name, then return to the buyer and hand him the title. I'm assuming that you won't later contest the signature.
