Start but no crank 2001 mercury sable

I have a 2001 mercury sable .I lost the transponder key.
When I had a new starter put in. But now the anti theft light
bikini whenever I try to start it up and it doesn't crank. But
everything on the dash comes on .all the power works but it
won't seem to crank up. Can you help me solve this
problem?

Try to use your key on the door lock cylinder. Lock them unlock with the key, then try to start the car.
