Should the brake pedal on the frontier go down past the gas pedal?

Question type: General

I find that my frontier gas pedal is too easy to hit when you brake since they are
close and the brake pedal goes past the gas pedal.

after you apply the brakes you should be able to put a foot under the pedal , that's what I think . But then there's my 2002 buick that has a pedal that goes too low far as I'm concerned and nothing I've done can bring it up . I'm told it's the nature of the beast .
