78 ford 460 in holiday rambler RV

When I parked a month ago after
just buying it ran ok. Since I
changed plugs and wires. Now it
isn't getting gas. I've started it up
put a little gas in carb. And fires
right then starts running ruff.give
it a little gas it coughs, spits, then
farts out carb. And dies. Got any
ideas. Not to piss anyone off but
I've always only owned cheves
and this ford looks to be a
different animal than a Chevy 350.
Could a loose gas cap couse this?

I am guessing a gummed up fuel system. I would change the fuel filter and check the fuel line to see if gas is getting to the carb.
