Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I only replaced my ac compressor and  
hooked up the belt to the clutch pulley and
you don't use the AC or the defroster, So it’ll
be fine till I get the compressor vacuumed
and charged would it work

The compressor won't run if the lines are empty , Have a professional charge the system or look for any leaks .
