I certainly hope not. Call them and ask.

A car rental company just checks your driver's license to see if it's current/valid. You should have no problem. But the problem comes when you have an accident, and this seems more likely for you. If you own a car, your current car insurance is valid for any car you rent, but with a record, that might not be an option for you; check with them. Best to add the rental company insurance while you drive their car. If you take Bob's sound advice, don't identify yourself when you talk to the rental company.
