2009 Dodge Journey won’t start

Asked by Warren846 May 29, 2019 at 12:30 AM

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It started with a click. I moved the cables and
it started.  After a few days, nothing helped. It
still clicked. I replaced the starter and it
started right up. Got it home then shut it off
then started and click. Got a battery charger
on it and after about an hour it started. Then
clicked. 18 hours later, nothing. Still clicks.
I’m so freakin pissed.

That single click is indicative of a starter/solenoid problem or electrical connections that are corroded, loose, or broken. With a fully replenished battery, you have enough juice to jump through the problem, but with the battery slightly depleted, you don't. If you replaced starter & solenoid, check for a damaged cable and corroded connections.
