Buy and drive

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I see on the FAQs that you can get funds verified
before the sale so you can purchase after the test
drive. I also see that title transfer can take a couple
days.
I am interested in a car about an hour away from
home and am wondering if the sale can take place
in one day so I don't need to drive back next time I
get a day off.
Any answers or advice is gratefully appreciated.

Absolutely. It helps if you can arrange financing ahead of time. You'll need the VIN number of car which will be listed in the cars description. The bank will check to see if car is lemon or has a salvage title which means car has been seriously damaged. If title is clear the bank can pre approve financing. You can also get financing at dealership at time of sale, no delay. You will have to arrange insurance at or before time of sale just provide VIN # to your insurance company You'll get temporary plate from dealer giving time to register and get inspected after sale. The process will take 2hrs or so to complete sale and you can drive your new ride right off the lot
