95 chevy

Ok i have a 95 chevy 5.0 with 4l60e ok so i bought this truck
and the rpm and Speedo didnt work they told me it needed
a cluster because its stuck in limp mode so i bought a
cluster and the rpm gauge worked i reved it up rpm went up
and i did it again and the rpm gauge went back to 0 and
hasn't worked so when i put it in drive its in 3rd when i put it
in 1st its in second and may i add the trans has been rebuilt
please can anyone help
