VSC/TRAC check engine light

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2006 Lexus GX470 and the
VSC/TRAC and check engine lights are on.
The car cannot get up a hill or it takes time to
get into gear and I can't seem to get it over
40mph. I just put a new secondary injection
pump on it but it hasnt fixed the issue. Every
time I unplug the battery it resets the codes
and drives like new. Any suggestions on what
it could be?

When the CEL comes on, it disables the stability & traction features. I believe the CEL is on due to a problem with a clogged catalytic converter. This isn't difficult for a mechanic to fix, but it's not cheap either.
