Question type: Car Customization

I recently bought a 1977 camaro with a factory
305.
I can get a 350 complete engine out of a chevy
truck from a friend for $100,
my question here is  since I should have everything
needed already installed on the 350, how difficult
would it be to put an efi engine into my 77 camaro
body?
or would I be better off changing it to carburetor?

Yes, it will fit. The problem is there is a large amount of work required when you replace a different size engine in a vehicle. Motor mounts, exhaust system, transmission, emissions, gauges, wiring, etc. All of this needs to be figured out. If you are paying a garage to figure all this out, it will be a very expensive endeavor.

Vortec engines have little in common with the old Chevy small block engine. You can't put parts from an old engine on a Vortec.
