98 ram 2500 won't start

turn key on, everything lights up and dings.  Try to start and everything blanks out, like no power.  But you can hear something making a quiet noise.  Was running, was turned off and now won't start

could be that you have enough power for the other stuff, but not to turn the starter. turn everything off and try to jump start it. the go to your local chain parts store and have the check your starting and charging systems. if it won't start, pull the battery and have it checked.
