Question type: Car Customization

When I tun on my head lights my tail lights
don't come on, but my break lights and
turn signals work. When the problem
started I noticed that I didn't have dash
lights anymore. Can anyone help me with
this problem?

Yes along with my turn signal which I was able to fix, I replaced the bulb sockets

Alright, sure the fuse for the park lights is good? Then have you checked for power back where you wired in the new sockets, to make sure you wired it up right? And have power for each wire... I believe the top bulb is a one filament bulb for running lights, The break and turn are a 3057 bulb, which is a 2 filament bulb. Any of this help?

New sockets get power I have check that but the fuse I checked was the luminous

There is one for park lamps. so when you turned the light switch to turn on the park (tail lights) you checked for power and there is? And for the dash, do any other lights come on like for your heater controls, or is it just the dash lights.

On the dash no but when I go to turn on my headlights I'll turn it once to turn on the amber lights in the front and my tail lights and that doesn't turn on anymore

This I know, tell me on the other stuff I asked, I don't want to tell you to just go out and buy a new head light switch if you don't need it.

So let me get this straight...I am guessing you wired in new sockets because of the tail light issue. Right?

No I wired the new socket because my right turn signal was grounding out the wire was bare no plastic on one part but when I noticed that all the shit happened

Well, you sure you don't have a blown fuse? This would blow a fuse. So anyway, what I do on something like this is start testing the wires with a test light. You can check power to ground, power to ground wires, this always tells the story. If I remember right the brown wire is for the tail lights. If I can't find anything going on in the back I start tracing back up to the light switch. I'll even find a power source and start applying it to the different wires to make sure there is a circuit, but always know your ground as to not to short. I'll even use a ohm meter an tie things together without power to see if the circuit is good. I just don't want you to go buy a light switch and that not be the problem, ALTHOUGH it very well could be, but experience tells me your problem is somewhere in the back. Did I mention the break & turn signal bulb is a 3057 - two fulfillment bulb? Any of this help?
