changed camshaft in 5.3 timed put back together started fine ran for 15 min. Just stopped and cranks funny.

Installed new  factory camshaft in  a 5.3 vortec it started fine ran for 15 min. I
started to run the RPM's up to 1900 and it just stopped immediately. Any
suggestions would be appreciated.

You did say what year truck you have, but it sounds as if the timing is off. I would do a google search to find out how to time your year car.
