p r n d 1 2 needle on cluster doesnt move?

90 chevy ck pickup... my needle doesnt move at all ... how do i fix it.. is there a cable that is dissconnected?

there is a cable from needle to column , it hooks on to shift collar at base of column it can come disconected ther . the other problem is after years of use the cable can cut the plastic or break the cable wher it pivots at bottom of cluster just below the needle

Id say its more likely that the cable has either broken or the plastic where the cable attaches to is broke
