Electrical fast clicking noise when key is off behind dash.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My son and I were bleeding the front brakes on 01 Silverado. Had a small pinch in the brake line that we fixed. After pressing hard on the brakes we noticed a sound that was clicking and popping that we thought was from bleeding the brakes, or back pressure or something in the line. Went to start it a bit later and battery was dead the clicking sound continued but only when the key was off and even removed but not when turned forward to start. unhooked battery and it stopped but started again when I hooked it back up.never did light up  or start. I have had a bit of trouble with the ignition tumbler being loose and finnickey and one time stayed in the on position even with they key out and drained the battery. the weirdest part was that it all started when I was pushing hard on the brake pad while my son was turning the bleedr screw......circumstantial I assume but certainly odd. Any help?
