what is the top amount of hp in a dodge ram 2500
The most I've seen is on the cummins diesel forum on a 6.7 is about 635. They just have not quite figured it out yet because I have seen some 5.9 get 1000-1200 hp
On a gasser or a cummins - very different trucks. Not sure about the gasser but the B5.9 is about 900 HP with heavy upgrades. The ISB5.9 is about 1200 with extreme upgrades and the ISBE 5.9 and 6.7 vary because of the environmental equipment on board. HP is not the number you want on a diesel anyway. I have 375 Hp but 840 foot pounds and the torque is what you drive!!
The cummins, the only engine worth having IMO. I agree with you completely, but with every little gain in hp on any cummins there is a large gain in torque. Torque is the reason we have diesels right. I was just replying on his hp question.
stock hp? hemi - 390 horse
the outdoors channel showed tons of cummins, one with 1400 horse and 1800 ft/lbs of torque
Something is wrong there. The ratio is normally about 1:2 - Hp: TQ. I've never seen a 5.9L cummins with more than 1000 HP but this wasn't a daily driver anyway.
Im not arguing that. I own a 24 valve cummins. I just said out of the stock horse of any truck, the hemi takes it. The power from the stock cummins engine is in its torque. 650 ft/lbs
The stock V10 8.0 L 488 Magnum has about 300 HP, and 450 Ft pounds of toque
whats up i got an uncle that has a pull truck cummins its got 2300 f/p at rear wheels
