86 dodge pickup w/360 engine

Pickup won't stay running unless I keep the
key in start position help!

This can be caused by the ballast resistor or ignition switch. The ballast resistor is a small white unit on the firewall with 2 wires on it. If you do a Google image search for '86 dodge ballast resistor' you will see what it looks like.

back in the day you would carry an extra ballast in your mopar just for that reason , common failure
