My 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 will not start until I pound on my fuel tank. It will then run for a short time fine and then just stop running. Is the problem my fuel pump?

Check the wiring that goes to the fuel pump. If it is in good condition and properly connected then replace the fuel pump assembly.
