My 94 ram 1500 5.2 only took a little under 2 gallons as well. Manual says it requires 20 quarts/5 gallons. But yeah same thing, didn’t even fit 2 gallons/jugs

I did the heads on my 2001 dodge ram 5.2 it took 5 gallons. I've took bottom hose off to drain before and it took about 2 gallons.

Hand smacks forhead. It takes 5g but 50% of it stays in your heater core and block. So you would only need to add 2.5 gallons give or take a .5
