Question type: Maintenance & Repair

How can I make a 2000 Durango 5.2L 2
wheel drive transmission fit on a 1998
Durango 5.2L 4 wheel drive

Swap the overdrive unit on rear of transmission. Problem with that, is you have to test o/d unit apart to get one way clutch to align with mainshaft again. You will need a press to tear it down and assemble. BEWARE... there is a spring with 800 lb load on it. Ya 800 lb. trans shop beast bet. Or someone that has worked on these.
