Is that 3 times turning the key before you here the starter motor connect to the engine and turn the engine over??,,,,,,or........The starter motor connects every time and turns the engine over but it takes 3 tries before the engine starts??

No they will offer you a rebuilt replacement or a new replacement. Rebuilts are cheaper price. I have replaced a few starters and never had a problem with a rebuilt. Not all cars are the same either. Some have a solenoid mounted up under the hood somewhere separate from the motor and some are solenoid and motor mounted together.

Did I get you right, the motor starts and runs for a little bit and then dies, no problem starting it ? If so it could be the chip in your ignition key. If you have another key try that one.

Clean your map/mav sensor. It's located somewhere on your throttle body/air intake. That little diode measures the amount of O2 in the air and adjusts the amount of fuel to send to the injectors. If it gets just a little dirty it throws off the whole system. Squirt it once or twice with engine cleaner. Be careful though. It's delicate and expensive. It'll improve your mpg too..
