I have a 2016 Dodge Caravan and it does the same thing. Have you checked your radiator fan(s)? After driving for a while, park it safely and open the hood and turn on the AC, you should be able to hear the fans running. I'm having a coolant issue with my Dodge Caravan, it's not pulling coolant from the coolant reservoir tank to the radiator. I'm hunt to fix it.
