1998 chev 5.0 i have to pour fuel in throttle body to start then it will start when i turn it off i have to pour more gas in it to start it again

check any relays for the fuel pump , it's not priming when you hit the key on/engine off , could be the sending unit in the tank if it's getting power at that time , you know it gets power once it starts so the pump ain't bad but to pull it and only replace the sending unit ? .
