screeching sounding brakes

The first time i brake after starting my car the brakes make a horrible screeching sound, but its only the first time i brake and then after that its fine. what do you think could be the problem? and is it something that if i leave too long that will come back to get me? thanks

Your rotors are being scrubbed of by the brake pads. High quality rotors and pads will eliminate that problem.
