gota say 70-72 for me... longest hood in chevys lifetime lol

I can say hands down it is the 1979 Monte for me as I have owned four of them, the first with the factory moon roof, two regular hard tops and the most recent with t-tops. I have also owned a 78 but I dont like the tail lights in those.

definitely 70-72 ...the wildcat engine(454) is phat! i love the power of that v-8

I would have to say that it is personal preference. alot of ppl seek out the 70-72 bodystyle while others like myself prefer the 73 - 78 models but one thing we all agree on is that it is a monte so it is all good. Just my two scents

1981 Monte Carlo is my favorite also like the early 70's

1971 Monte Carlo SS 454, love the blacked out strip in rear. Only year for this, 70 didn't have it and by 72 the SS disappeared till the late 80's
