Question type: General

I bought an ecm for 1996 chevy cargo van with 350 engine.Everone says it
has to be reflashed I want to know if it will run without being reflashed. No one
can give me a 100% sure anwser. dont care about mileage and things like
that being wrong will it start n drive?

I put the junk yard ecm on the van started but ran terrible.My orignal code was gone and i had proper voltage at mass air flow sensor.But had new code for cam position sensor.Was able to drive to local gm dealer and have flashed fixed cam code.All good
